There's several celebrations where I'm from - Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa. Some people choose to keep it secular.

I'm sure plenty of people will tell you about Christmas. How about Hanukkah? It's a Jewish holiday that recreates the miracle of a day's worth of oil keeping a light burning for eight days.

What about potato pancakes and chocolate coins? Of course, that's a little less miraculous. But they have their own appeal.
