003 | video; Thanksgiving
Hey, I'm guessing a lot of you come from a place that has some kind of holiday like Thanksgiving, or at least something like it.
Where I'm from, we just... gathered together on this day, made a veritable feast from what little we had and spent the rest of the night eating, drinking and making merry.
I like to think it's a good time to reflect on what you're thankful for, even when there isn't much to be thankful for... or when those people you used to celebrate with have passed on and you're going it alone.
[ Cas settles back, glancing up at the ceiling with a sigh. ]
For me? I think this place represents a fresh start for quite a few of us here... new lives, new friends.
Like a fresh canvas or... an open window. We're all just... fragments of our worlds, different whens and wheres. And Anatole, this... collection of fragments creates this stunningly beautiful mosaic. It's kind of magnificent, you know? The fact that there's a relatively peaceful coexistence where you really wouldn't think one would be.
[ He sits up, seemingly coming out of his strange, rambling little reverie and claps his hands, smile broadening. Whatever place he came from, this place is downright peaceful by comparison. ]
So, in short -- who's celebrating today? What are you thankful for?

You wanna know what I'm grateful for? The fact that we're able to give the boys a fresh start here in Anatole, and you held up your end in keeping both our true identities a secret.

What the hell did I tell you about the damn spoilers, Gabriel? I just got grilled by Sam about my 'relationship' with you. I lied -- for you -- because my only other choice was to spill about who you really were.
Do I have any more surprises waiting for me, Gabe? We need to have ourselves a talk.
