[That we know of. Bobby intends to work on that. Surely somewhere, in the history or myths or bedtime stories of this place, there's a way. But as for the rest of what she says:]

Things like that ain't something a child should have to go through.
[He sounds angry on her behalf. But he knows a couple of boys who've been there, robbed of their childhood because they saw and experienced things that children never should.]
I'd hope that someone cared about me enough to pull the trigger.
[He's quiet for a moment, trying to piece together things from what she told him before.]
So what happened after your folks? Where did you go instead of staying behind?

[I'd hope that someone cared about me enough to pull the trigger. That sounds not so much different from the sentiment of taking one's head before the inevitable.]
Mm.
[She stops a moment, and smiles just a little as she verbalizes prior thoughts.]
You might say that I became what I am so that less might go through it. Even if it wasn't wholly by choice, there was nowhere left for me to go.

You were forced into it?
[Well even that's not so different. What other choice do a lot of hunters have after seeing their loved ones killed or eaten or possessed by things that shouldn't exist? Most times it's a choice between being crushed under the fear and sorrow, or getting revenge the only way you know how - by hunting down the sons-of-bitches.]

I was sold, most likely.
[Maybe she was just given away, she never had the time (or the forethought) to have asked. But she shrugs a little, because it's long past and does no good to dwell.]
They show themselves in the ruins frequently enough. Why do you ask?
Is that a memory?

It may come as a shock to you, but the broadcast was public.
[Better hear it now than later, right?]

...Damn.
Sorta. In a crazy, messed-up kinda way.

There is no way to stop them - that we know of. The invasions, while relatively harmless compared to some of the dangers here...
...they are not without their own lingering scars.

I have a similar memory, Bobby Singer. You were brave and did what was necessary. I was not.
I do not know if that is a comfort, but there it it, all the same.

How similar are we talkin' here?

The man on the floor. I could say that the same fate befell my family, long ago. I couldn't have stopped it, I was just a small thing. A child.
Still, I could have stayed behind.
[Instead, I am this. Perhaps so that less little girls find themselves upon the same path.]
It is never an easy thing to have to kill those that we are close to. But it might be easier than watching some beast wear their skin.

It is a common tale among warriors.

Yeah, sounds like.
Those things that you hunt. Any of 'em here?
