[When the Forge turns on, Renji is sitting on the sofa, leaning over to eat some rice. Nothing particularly interesting, except his hair (which is usually pulled up into a spiky mess) is laying over one shoulder in...a braid. And a particularly nice one, too.
Huh.
In his lap is a rabbit, who seems to be eying that braid with a rabbity interest.
Renji eats another mouthful of his rice and then speaks.]
So there seems to be some pretty weird stuff goin' on out there. I may not have been here all that long, but I think it goes without sayin' that looking into this stuff without really preparing first is just stupid. This especially goes out to all you new people. So...yeah.
Don't do stupid shit. And stay out of the Mist if you know what's good for ya.
[It's during Renji's little speech that the rabbit inches closer to that bright hair hanging right in front of him and starts to nibble. On Renji's hair.
The redhead is suitably disgusted when he notices.]
Oi, oi! Stoppit!
[He picks up the rabbit by the scruff of his neck and holds him in front of his face. The little nose just wiggles innocently.]
...Yeah, that's right, Chewie. Play up your cuteness factor. That might be the only thing keepin' you alive right now.
[And then Renji sets Chewie on the floor before turning the Forge off.]
