In about an hour, I will be able to say I've been here for two years.

Of everything. And I was usually mad about something, which I guess hasn't really changed that much although I'd like to think I've gotten better at not breaking things because of it! And... I've been told I used to squeak a lot.
...two years doesn't seem like that long a time, but Arthur once told me that I live twice as much as most people in half as much time. I wonder if that's true.
[a short pause. you can hear something creak - her bed, perhaps, or her chair.]
There have been so many new people lately, so I'll say it again - if you need anything, please let me know. As of a few weeks ago... I'm the... grandmother with a... stick to wave at young people on grass. Um, what I mean is...!
...what I mean is. When I came here, there a few dozen people here already. And one by one they all disappeared. Some quickly, and some took longer... Elena was the last one to go. So now, I guess you could say I'm a village elder. Err, I'm not sure how many of you had village elders, but if you did? That's the kind of... construct I'm thinking about. Not in the sense of being in charge! Just in the sense of being kind of-- well, anyway, I'm going to start some new projects, I think. Things to make it easier to get situated here, if I can! And... some other things, too, and... I can't believe I forgot to introduce myself!
