...You know, we're coming up on a time of year I always loved. Well, maybe not the weather, but the whole thing-- the harvest, the Saints' eve, all that. I remember dressing up with my aunt and visiting my parents' graves to clean them, having a special meal alongside the stones, listening to the stories of all my family-- my father, my mother, all those great-aunts. I remember carving pumpkins to scare off bad spirits, putting on costumes, getting candies and playing games as a little kid. I used to love it-- two months of things I love, and my birthday coming just as the first cold snap hit...

I wonder if there's anything like that here. Or anywhere else. I know the harvest is kind of a thing for any culture that grows anything-- is there anything you did back home in this sort of time period? We should all do something.
