[This young man's predicament is hardly his concern, but he does admire that kind of dedication. Especially, it would seem, in the face of consistent letdown.]
[There were some that would have told him Awakening would cause him to lose himself completely, that he would not have strength but madness for it. If he'd listened to them, he would not be where he was today. This powerful, and this...not human, but not entirely inhuman either. Sometimes, anyway.]
