I wonder...just what is it that makes the Door fixate on a particular world, at a given time. I've been here nearly two years now, and I've seen all sorts of different combinations. I was the first to arrive from my world, and another arrived a week later. We were the only ones from ours for almost seven months after that before any of the others arrived, and even then it was only two. Even more months passed by before my friends and colleagues, started to arrive in mass numbers.
And then there are those that all seem to arrive at once, or those that eventually form a sizable number but only trickle in slowly without any mass influxes at all.
...Some people don't seem to find others from their world at all, even after months.
There don't appear to be any clear patterns, but I wonder...I wonder if there's something we're all missing. Something in the bigger picture that we miss because we're picking through the details.
It'd be nice, I think, if we could find one. Even if we can't make the Door go the other way, maybe there could be a way to...control or manipulate it to bring our friends and loved ones here, so that we have someone to share the better times with, and to help us through the worse ones.

If you could bring any one person from your world to Anatole, from any time, who would it be? Would you do it at all?
