[Video clicks on, and Priscilla is onscreen. She's damp and wearing a yellow nightdress, but it's fairly appropriate, given the setting: she's in her bedroom, sitting against a number of pillows she's propped up against her headboard. The Forge is angled just so - she is slightly off-center, and in the background, you can see a bird cage currently containing one gold finch.]
Um, hello everyone! I'm sorry for my unsuitable appearance, but I did say I would keep people updated on my progress through my birthday gift books! [She reaches offscreen and picks up a book - a close look will show that it is The Hound of the Baskervilles.] I've just started reading this book!
[Finches aren't meant to talk. But this one seems to be a bit chatty. Occasionally, it tweets out something that sounds suspiciously like "sign it."]
[Priscilla flips the book open.]
So far, I've found it very interesting. It reminded me of the differences between worlds. On mine, you'd never really take a demonic dog seriously... although I guess it's a bit of a stretch to say that they took it seriously either.
[...Senji wanders into the frame behind her. At the moment, he's shirtless, his normally spiky hair flattened down. He has a few cuts, a few bruises... and he's lingering around the birdcage.]
Curses in themselves are a little strange to me, too, to be honest. It reminds me a little of magic, in that--
[Behind her, Senji starts encouraging the bird to speak: Japanese insults. Curses...]
[Priscilla blinks and glances behind her.]
...what are you doing! You can't teach him to say that!
[As for Senji, his voice is too far to be fully audible, but he doesn't look terrible apologetic. Priscilla wrinkles her nose for a moment and then, after another moment, starts laughing and tosses a pillow at him. An instant later, there's an explosion of white down as the pillow comes apart, exposing Senji's grin, and quickly disappearing Claw.]
[Priscilla squeaks like a shocked mouse, and bolts off the bed. In the next second, she's pushed him off-frame... and you hear them hit something (the wall? the floor? the dresser? who knows - you can't see it!) and then laughter until the recording cuts off.]
