The feed begins with the sun filtering in from behind sheer white curtains. Balcony doors are opened upon a cliff side and a brisk Italian ocean. The air is warm inside the spacious room, sunlight bouncing off the clean marble floors and making everything shine brilliantly. Gokudera sighs and it's the only sound in the large room. Outside in the hall there is the distant echo of footsteps, but he is lost to himself, hands resting on the keys of a black baby grand piano.

For once, those hands are free of rings, save one Vongola Storm ring glistening on his right, middle finger. The teen sits tall and straight on the bench, dressed in a slightly rumpled suit. The jacket has been discarded beside him, his sleeves rolled up, and his tie loosened. He looks as though he'd been playing for a long time, though there is no sheet music. He listens while the sound of footsteps fade and glances at the open door. There is no one to hear him, no one to whom he can dedicate this song and all of the love contained in it to. It's for the best, he thinks as he shuts his eyes.

One note, soft, quiet, and high hangs in the air before it trickles into a few more. He doesn't open his eyes, and rather than pinching in concentration, his expression falls to something sad and deep. Gokudera doesn't play the piano for anyone to hear, because the one person he means for it is no longer in the world, is only looking over him. He knew his mother had played for his sake, and he'll do the same. The song picks up and he opens his eyes, looking down at the keys and they blur through a wall of unshed tears.

Around four minutes in, he stops and concentrates on one note, striking at the only note that's out of tune. The sound of a step in the room makes him look up quickly, shocked out of his reverie. Gokudera's hands drop when he notices his boss. Tsuna is standing close by and smiles at him encouragingly. He has no idea how long the guy has been standing over him, but that soft expression means that it's been a good long while into the song.

"You play really well, Gokudera-kun!"

Gokudera watches as the brunette takes a seat beside him, holding onto his suit jacket. He's so embarrassed and feels like he should run away, but instead looks at the piano, "Would... Do you want me to keep playing?"

"Un!" Tsuna says, then smiles at the keys, "I don't have the talent for anything like this." He admits, looking a bit bashful back over at his friend.

"This one is F sharp." Gokudera points to the off-tune key and nods when Tsuna looks at him with the slightest perplexed expression. It's pressed and he finishes the song, ending it with a smile.

"Maybe we could have another recital. This time without Bianchi's cookies." His boss suggests. To which, Gokudera just sputters because he can't possibly play in public! Not after so long and certainly not without hurting his sister's feelings!
