[After it's initial activation, silence follows, and were it not for the subtle presence of white noise, one wouldn't even have realized there might be someone on the other side. It might still not be noticed at all until the signal goes off again.
Moments later an image flickers on screen, and not very much of one either. One might easily mistake it for a blank screen as the majority of it is...white. Closer inspection will reveal further details- the pale outline of someone's chin, lips rimmed in black that part slightly in further study of the Forge. A thin trail of teal runs down along either side- but even this image vanishes rather quickly as the device is once again, turned off.]
