4th Gear. Because jogging is too mundane. [Video]
[The video starts with Rex in his room at the Outlander Community Block. He's shirtless in front of a full length mirror near his bed, running his right hand over his left upper arm. At first glance, it might look like he's admiring his own physique. Given his apparent ego, that would be something he'd do. But no... There are marks over his skin in various places - wounds that are nearly healed. It would seem he's merely checking up on himself to see much longer it will be before all evidence of injury is completely gone.]
So it's been a few days since things started getting quiet around here again. No complaints from me on that, really. Because who's going to say "no" to some downtime after a city wide siege?
[Picking up his shirt off the bed, he pulls it on before grabbing his goggles up off the nightstand.]
Anyway, the insanity over last week is the second time I've seen this city go to a really bad place and I'm assuming at this point that every couple of months, something is probably going to happen around here. Talking to other people, that's really what it sounds like.
[Pulling the goggles on over his head and letting them hang down around his neck, he picks up the Forge and sits down on the bed with it, looking directly into the screen, now.]
And while I don't mind intense workouts, if they're only going to come every so often, I can't sit on my butt for weeks at a time and wait for something to come along and challenge me. Fighting monsters in the ruins or challenging someone in the Arena's always an option, sure, but there are other ways to stay in practice with speed and agility.
Personally, I'm thinking running. Roof running. Some parkour styled racing through the districts a few stories up. But it's never all that fun alone. Having a roof running buddy or two along makes things more interesting. It's friendly competition.
So... Anyone interested? I'm thinking twice a week's a pretty good deal. We could have a little get together and then play follow the leader.
