[The image on the screen is cockeyed, like the lens isn’t quite pointing straight at the scene. On the outer edges are dark spots, that, when seen on their own could be dirt, but when taken in conjunction with the rest, they’re... definitely something else. From somewhere off screen, the battle that rages on can be heard, the screams and cries of those who had not yet made it to cover are audible as background noise.

The reason for the skewed image is only partially visible -his head and one shoulder hidden from view by the screen’s edge- but its painfully clear that this isn’t an injury he’ll be able to brush off and keep going with. The rod impaling his body is streaked with blood, that being the cause of the dark spots on the screen, and although his back is to the Forge, the way the rod seems to be attempting to transform itself indicates that another catlike creature will soon be born.

Its transformation, however, doesn’t last long, as the attempt made by the hellcat to take over Ichigo’s body has only succeeded in waking the beast.

The sudden release of the mental walls and careful grasp he has on himself come down in a flurry of orange and white as his skin blanches and his hair lengthens, his reiatsu fluctuating wildly in black waves into something inhuman. Around his wrist, visible through the tattered and torn sleeve, is what could almost be considered a cuff of darker reddish fur, his fingers ending in sharp claws. Although his face isn’t visible, if one looks closely, they can see what appears to be globs of white that converge on one point out of the screen where his head should be, melding together until the tip of a long, white horn-like prong is visible. Higher up on his body, around where the rod had ripped through him and torn away a large chunk of his already tattered coat, black markings spread outward over his shoulder blades, streaking his shoulders and wrapping around to his chest.

The Hollow has no intention of allowing the Hellcat to win this fight, Ichigo’s body belonging to it, and it alone. The Hellcat is merely an intruder to be dealt with... and deal with it, it does.

Clawed fingers reach up to take hold of the rod, two hands not quite pulling at it to remove it, but instead pulling at it to slide his body off of it as if pulling himself up a rope.

Once freed of the rod, he turns toward the screen, giving a glimpse of a bull’s horns and a sharp-toothed, striped, almost skeletal lower jaw... before a reddish glow appears, swirling into a spherical shape...

...and then both the Forge and rod are no more, blown apart by the force of a Cero.]
