[It's called the Sleeping Forest, but it's anything but asleep; there's greenery and voices and life among the stillness and she's trying not to disturb it with her own words.
"I'll handle Sephiroth, okay?"
"And Cloud, you take care of yourself."
There's no stopping her, no matter what anybody says. Something's leading her to the City of Ancients and she can't just ignore it. After all, she's ignored it all long enough. If she can stop what's inevitably going to happen, there's no harm in trying, right?
The City of Ancients feels like a long-lost memory, which is certainly good since following whatever's leading her here is the only way she can find her way around. This is the only place where she can do what only she can.
Near the middle of the city is an altar, which is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from where she's standing. Light's filtering in from above her, making the area look especially inviting. It's perfect.
She falls to her knees with her eyes closed and hands clasped together in prayer, listening for the whispers of the Planet. She's vaguely aware of her friends nearby after what seems like hours, but pays them no mind, not even when Cloud's in front of her with his sword held above her head.
It's only when he backs away that she opens her eyes and smiles, one quiet, perfect moment before she senses someone behind her. For just a second, everything stops -
- then everything blurs and goes black.]
