The spirits of this world are remarkably ill-behaved. It would be one thing if it simply wandered about slaughtering things. Cliche, perhaps, but effective even so. And while they say that spirits ought to rest easily, I am familiar enough with death to know how infrequently this ideal is made reality.

Even so. This kind of city-wide tantrum is more than a little offensive.

[It would be hard to pinpoint any particular emotion in his voice, though.

Then again, it may be simply part of this city, full of corpses and loss as it is. In the past month or so, we've seen the corpses of buildings and of children. The corpses of women. So much death in so short a time must be quite troubling.

[For some. But not for him. Hm.]

[He goes quite for a moment, making only a soft hmm noise as he considers his next words.]

Gin. Did you mention being too comfortable? I must admit... I am becoming rather comfortable, myself. [He said comfortable with no small amount of disdain. He has been working... constantly. But perhaps his work has been too quiet, these days. It breeds complacency. Which means...]

I'd like the two of you to gather twelve native Anatolians, and perhaps a native Scorched or two, if you can find them. I have a little project to begin. [Once he visits Luciela again. And speaking of her...]
