[Although the Forge is set to video, it seems as though the speaker either doesn't realize it or doesn't care. There's a shot of a white overcoat and that's... pretty much it.]
Do forgive me if I'm interrupting a delicate moment, but I couldn't help but notice a few people have been publicly downtrodden the last day or so! Over family members or... something of the sort.
[He stands to pace the room thoughtfully, so there's a blur of motion - a swoop of hair, as white as the coat, thick bangs covering half a face. Only one red eye is visible, although it's focused on something other than the Forge. Then the hint of a smile. Then just the walls of a newcomer apartment, and that's where the camera stays.]
Well, you see... [He flops down on the ledge of the window sill, and the camera jerks again - now it shows his feet, one leg crossing over the other. His boots are only fastened at their lowest buckle.] I have a rather unhealthy curiosity, I'm afraid. I'd rather know things, even terrible things, than live on in ignorance.
But if you're unwilling to share, I certainly understand! And I do hope the trouble passes.
