[Hands turning something over - something shiny - and something not. Spatterdash light from a flickering lantern somewhere offscreen reveals that it's two badges. They'd be identical if one weren't bent to all hell - discolored by dirt (and the caress of Mist? Is that blood? Rust, even?) and whatever else lay beneath it when it had been easily dislodged from its resting place. In retrospect it was hardly hidden at all.
