note: 3 / dream

[A ordinary field, with a tree on a small hill at the edge. Under this tree is William, though he looks a little different than anyone would have seen him-namely, he's ditched his customary jacket and tie, and his hair isn't so immaculately kept. Really, he looks more relaxed than some would believe possible.

He's got a notebook, and seems to be writing something down for a few minutes, concentrating intently, until a breeze blows by and takes several pages with it. He sighs, setting the book aside and the pen, and shuts his eyes.

Cheeping sounds, and they open again. A small gray bird is in the branches above him, insistently cheeping until he looks up at it. He sighs, and then a true smile, small, takes place of his frown. He reaches out, and the bird flutters down to perch on his hand, adjusting its feathers fastidiously. William softly chuckles, and pets it, smoothing down what few feathers were ruffled as the bird happily cooes. And as he does, the viewer is hit with strange senses, at first mild irritation, then soaring joy that mellows out into simple contentment.

William brings the bird close, as if he's protecting it, and the image fades out.]
