[Tales To Warm the Blood, huh? Interesting, because her blood doesn't feel very warm at all. It's evident she's rattled from the way she keeps glancing over her shoulder (and in front of her, too) as she loads an odd looking little gun.The feed shifts between video and audio several times (the muffled sound of purring the only notable thing during ( Read more... )

[ Well of course he saw that something was found in the excavation, what with his tendency (or perhaps luck) to be lurking about when important events begin. He's businesslike, the same serious man who carried the corpse through the streets once again. ]

They've found something at the excavation.

[ Simply an observation. He knows you're there each day, bella. ]

[There's a visible twitch, a turn and a couple of linefaced steps before the feed is audio again.]

They sure did.

[She's not sure how she feels at all. More often than not (and especially given her line of work) she comes down on the side of 'things shouldn't stay buried'. These things? Well, if the shivers she's getting are any indication...]

Feels like it ...followed me home.

[If you use the term home loosely. Which she so does! Because this place will never be home, and if she starts thinking of it that way she'll be giving up.]

Lilly, your cat. I think she must have turned your Forge on.

There were some books found during the excavation. I'm probably an idiot for thinking they were just books, right?

But the whole time it felt like ...I was being watched. Not by the foreman or anyone that I could see, either. There's nothing here - but it feels like there is.

Is it a mist ...thing? Do you... [The 'feel it too?' is implied.]

Like you were being watched...?

[Her first thought is of Pride. Of course. 'I'll always be watching you from the shadows.' And now he's here. The feeling of being watched is always there, at the back of her mind.]

Do you only feel it when you're out by the excavation site?

[Oh, awkward. But the awkward is eclipsed by the feeling of being watched, and although it's a hard call, she'd rather have the awkward.]

Sure.

[sigh]

You?

[There are worse things to be caught doing on the network than talking to her cat, so it looks like she'll live. Looking rattled over the network, though? Not so pleased about that.]

Never better. Sure you don't need me to come 'round and be all manly and shite?

You gonna kick it's ass for me, Nate?

[And a little less humor:]

Bet you're glad you didn't volunteer for excavation duty.
