[Behold the clear black sky - the silver-white moon, the twinkling stars. Priscilla is on the roof again, lying down, talking to the Forge and staring at the sky - the background is filled with the white noise of far away voices and chattering trees.]

I was thinking.
When I was a little girl in training, we used to play this little game. We'd think... if we had one wish or two wishes or three wishes it depends on the game, what would they be? ...I think it might be a normal game, really - I'm sure everyone does it in every world. Because everyone has things they want but can't have.
I hasn't thought about it in a while, but I wonder if your choices say anything important about you!
[A little silence. She breaks it with a quiet hmm.]
If you had three, what would you wish for? I mean, assuming you couldn't cheat like a dishonorable person and try to swindle the... um, gods or universe or... whoever! by asking for more wishes or the right to create wishes or... well, you know what I mean. Play fair! What would you want?
...I would want... to fulfill my potential. And to see my father again. Or my whole family... if that counts as one wish instead of four. I guess that's two.
[And no, she's not telling the third... at least not like this.]
...well, anyway. The weekend was kind of disturbing, and I guess I'm a little sad about it. But I like to think things can turn around and become better. For a while, I didn't think they could - for months and months, I just thought... everything will always be terrible. I don't think so now.
That's kind of off the point, I guess, but... I think honesty can be liberating, and hurtful. Mostly, I think... a little of each. But it's better to know where you stand than not. Even if it hurts at the time. I try to think of it that way, even if it gets hard. And maybe it being hard is normal, too.
