[There's a rather loud clattering noise - or the last bit of it - and a grunt of pain before a redhead pushes himself up on his elbows and looks back from whence he came.]

Damnit, what was that all 'bout? I didn't do a thing!

[Lavi pushes himself up to a sitting position and turns his attention back down to the Forge. The frown turning to a grin

Did you simply lose track of the time, or do you really have no memory of the time since the fifteenth?

Tha twe-- [S-sorry, dropped the Forge.] Damn. I missed Christmas...

[A soft sigh as he picks the device back up again.] No memory, just...kinda stepped outta tha mist.

Christmas? [Give him a moment!]

...Oh. That's a holiday for some people here, isn't it?

[Aaah the mist. That makes sense now.]

It seems to be capable of such things, yes. It's unfortunate that you missed your holiday.

[A teensy bit of amusement at that last remark, not that it shows even in his tone.]

[Grinning, you can hear it in his voice.] Yeah, lots o'fun. 'specially with tha songs 'nd eggnog. Not ta mention shovin people under tha mistletoe.

[A pause.] Didn't really 'xpect ta get any, yanno?

Egg...nog. [Tilts his head, offscreen] What is, er, nog?

[A beat, and curiosity takes over reservedness.]

...Why mistletoe?

[That next bit takes him by surprise, though. He hasn't talked to Lavi much, but he seems nice and friendly. And if he had presents for others, why wouldn't they for him?]

You didn't? Would you mind if I asked why?

[Laughs lightly] Sorry, it's a drink that ya can have either alcoholic or non. 's rather good.

[A pause as Lavi thinks it over.] Don't think 've made much o'an impression on anybody here ta be considered for presents. Kanda's not one for givin'em but Allen'll prob'bly give me one.

...Does it taste like eggs? [So many questions. It's rare for Scar's inquisitive side to come out, but Lavi has done quite the job of piquing his interest.]

I wouldn't be surprised if you'd made more of an impression than you think. You seem plenty likable. [And if people in the city are willing to do nice things for him...]

Are Allen and Kanda from your world, then?
