Has anyone found a viable solution for dealing with these rats?

I offered them some food to stop them from setting up explosives beneath my desk and that was effective enough. But I can't get them to leave my dog alone. They've been harassing him for days. They've stolen his food, shot at him, and tried to ride him like a horse.
[Irritation grows as she continues to speak. Nobody messes with Hayate. There is something else in her voice, too, slight and hard to identify.]
And now I can't find him.
[Oh yeah. Worry. That's what it is. Well-disguised worry.]
