["Nothing, it's just a dream" is the automatic response, but he bites down on it. That's just the normal lie, and he knows that Sakura has both earned more than that and won't buy it anyway.
But-
How much of this is real?
Marie. Marie is the ultimate reality, even in her total absence. Conklin, and his voice, are real. Hirsch. But how much, other than the fact that these people existed, can he trust?]
[Is that even the right name? There are two others he's called in this, after all. How much of it is real memory, how much of it is figment?
Sakura doesn't know but she wants to know. David's important, almost family to her now.]
