I think it's what I'm best at, really.

Do you have anything, small minor jobs you want done?

Me? Ha, well, even if I did, I don't have two copper pieces to rub together - or ivories, or whatever they're called here.

Hmm. Are you looking for a job too?

Indeed. At the moment I'm mostly hunting and bartering, which isn't exactly reliable.

Hm. My friend and I are thinking of making a sort of canteen in the apartment complex. We're thinking that this way, people can have a place where they can eat, in exchange for ivories or maybe the monsters that seem edible.

I've been hunting for beasts and fowl; the pickings are slim and the ruins are dangerous but there's still often more than I can eat alone. Can one of you cook?

We both can cook, but it might take some practice before we can make it edible. You can keep the important parts for selling, but the meatier ones can be used for cooking.

I think we can do an exchange. You can bring the monsters in for cooking. You won't have to pay for the meal, and part of the ivories that's used in exchange for the food can be yours, when people come in. I'm not sure about the details, though. It's just an idea.

No, that sounds like an excellent arrangement.

Arthur. It's a pleasure, especially if we manage to get this thing going. I'm all right with numbers, if you need help with the books, too.

[Interest is piqued; another multitasker?]

Pleased to meet you. We'll see if we can manage it first before I get back to you for that too. See also if anyone would be interested in eating them too...

We'll just have to get them interested.

Do you think they'll be interested if we handed out samples?

As long as it's actually good. You could offer to deliver within the building, too, people enjoy convenience.

That's a pretty good idea, actually. I'll run that by my friend.

We'll get to practicing.
