[Familiar voices. One male and one female.]
Why won't you just admit that you've been watching me! Can't you even go to a party without being a jerk!
[Lenalee's voice, high-pitched from anger, maybe even a little fear. Static cuts through it and the video switches on. She's standing, facing the chair that he's sprawled out in.]
Yeah, remind me again why I'd be stalking you?
[The scene flickers. Suddenly a little girl is standing on the long table behind him, bent forward so that she can look at him eye to eye.]
You're not that fucking interesting!
[Mello continues and she's gone, never noticed.
The argument continues. In the background, Matt takes a drag from his cigarette while studying the full-length mirror.
Flicker.
This time the little girl peeks out from underneath the table.]
Uh, guys?
[Matt backs up, points at the blurry image of an eyeless figure that's staring out the mirror. (How is that even possible?)
Mello curses. For once, Lenalee doesn't scold him.
It flickers back to audio. The sound of a child's giggle, Lenalee's scream, and then a gunshot.
For several moments, there's nothing.
When the video finally does return, the room is empty.]
