[When the video feed kicks in, it is on a flurry of movement, one the flies across the evidence of a battle recently fought - upturned earth, uprooted chucks of stone, broken ruins, half hidden by the mist, and there, a tree, broken in half and beneath it a woman with bloodied blonde hair, a face that is partially burned and a body that might look just a little on the broken side. Riza Hawkeye's eyes might be open, but it is hard to tell for a moment whether she is conscious, or dead.
The dust is still settling around her.
Several feet away crouches a creature, claws sunk into the earth, four tails waving behind it, its body a mass of roiling black and red chakra. An inhuman thing, it has its eyes fixed on the downed woman and it is watching her carefully, as though waiting for her to stir, or merely assessing it's handiwork. Maybe a bit of both.
Baring her teeth in pain, she raises her left hand, aiming at the creature and squeezing the trigger of her gun. The weapon only makes an empty clicking noise, magazine spent, and after a moment the hand drops back to the ground.
It's not hard to decipher the expression that flashes across the thing's face then. It's a grin, gleeful and wide and inhuman and the growl that follows is just as inhuman, kindling-on-fire as it drops lower, ready to lunge forward.
But then a boy shrouded in white, carrying a giant sword and looking as if he’s missing his left arm, runs forward. Blood seeps from a cut on his cheek, and more blood stains his right hand.]
W-what are you? [ He half-gasps out. ] Why are you doing this? [ Of course, he receives no reply. A slashing blow from the creature sends him reeling back. He hisses, pressing the side of his arm against his ribs. Burns, but painful ones. The less serious the burn, the more it tends to hurt.
It was time to end this, though. The boy jumps up in the air, sword raised. He narrows his eyes and opens his mouth in a scream ]
Yyyyyeargh! [ The sword stabs through cleanly, and the creatures lets out an unearthly snarl, tails thrashing, before it crashes to the ground. But it doesn't linger there, rolling, lashing out wildly. The boy stumbles back, trying to shield his face. The thing rises and fixes a glare on the boy, looks for a moment as though it is about to lunge again but then bizarrely enough it shudders and without so much as a warning, makes for the ruins and the mist instead. It the brief silence that follows the boy shouts toward the woman. ]
Are you all right?
I'm alive.
[There is a sharp hiss as Riza tries to straighten her right arm which is bent at a very unnatural angle. She stifles what might otherwise have been a scream through her clenched teeth.]
[ A pause. ] Tim…
[ The video feed jolts, but moves closer to him. He picks it up and looks tiredly into the screen. ] Allen Walker, here.
A…assistance needed. [ The feed cuts out. ]
[ ooc: Blue is Riza. Basically, Naruto lost control of the Kyuubi. ]
