[The recording begins with a close-up of Link’s face. He’s holding the Forge and looking skeptically at the buttons on the device. He doesn’t seem to be aware that it’s recording.]

[His hand takes up most of the screen as he brings his index finger over a button, hesitates, and then withdraws it. He runs the hand through his hair instead, bewildered, and then tugs a little at the collar of his new shirt as if he’s uncomfortable in the foreign clothing.]
What is it supposed to...
[He’s whispering, for some reason, even though he seems to be alone. After more fiddling the recording cuts off. It picks up again a moment later, and now he's set the Forge on a flat surface. He's sitting in front of it, fiddling idly with the pointed black stone hanging from a thick string around his neck. His mouth opens as if he means to speak, still eying the Forge a bit suspiciously. It takes him a few more tries, but he clears his throat and speaks softly.]
My name is Link. I'm not sure-
[His brow tightens and he a frowns slightly, as if dissatisfied with the way he's begun.]
I come from Hyrule. If anyone who sees this knows of it- [Abruptly he stills and looks up, as if startled by a noise, though nothing is picked up on the recording. After a few moments he turns back to the Forge.] ...If anyone knows of it please tell me.
...
Or... if anyone knows the name Midna. [He looks uncomfortable, but he smiles tiredly. It looks like he'll say more, but after sitting silently for a time he reaches out and ends the recording.]
