I would read approximately one million and five thousand words of Louis being all sulky with Harry because all Harry has to do is smile, but he never smiles at Louis like that, and Harry being confused and then maybe pissed off with ANGST and PINING and STUPIDITY but in the end love puppies.OMG THIS IS ALL I WANT IN THE WORLD. I AM REALLY ENJOYING THE PROSPECT OF THIS PRIMER. :D I love primers. I think I already know more than is sane about this band, but I care not! Tell me more, internets!

Hell yeah, this. No one acts like that if they're fully comfortable in their own skin. People who give no fucks do not give a fuck if people notice them or not. That's the difference between the two of them. Harry is this beacon-light sort of person that everyone wants to either do or be, or maybe both, whereas Louis is run of the mill hot with a side order of issues. THIS IS A GREAT FIC IDEA WORLD. DO THAT FOR ME.

I'm probably going to post it tomorrow or Tuesday! But beware, it's less a primer and more or a here is every second of footage that is available on youtube from when One Direction was on X Factor. /o\ I was joking the other day that if I didn't stop myself at some point, it was going to turn into a 16 part, Ken Burns-esque series of posts!

And YES to everything you said. With Louis, sometimes I wonder if he saw himself in those first few episodes of X Factor (bootcamp, judge's houses), where he is much more open and nervous and wearing his heart on his sleeve, and there was something he didn't like, because he started to be different, more "on" all the time, when they got to the live shows (except when they're performing and then you can see the nerves and earnestness). Not all the time, obviously, but still.
