Ok cuties, I figure I might as well put this thing to some use and see if I can share the things that have been of some comfort to me in hopes they'll be of comfort to you. Cuz this pandemic fucking sucks and I'm sick of being indoors but not quite sick enough to do a full home reorganization or deep clean.
Rays of Light (and I'm not talking Madonna here and her COVID air)

I love drag. The best birthday of my life was spent in the castro in SF at a tiny bar, throwing oodles of cash at some of the most gorgeous queens I had ever seen in. my life. I have a somewhat complicated family dynamic, one where I didn't often feel the love and camaraderie I expected from sharing a last name with folks, but with drag, I always feel at home.
I admit one of the things I miss the most besides movie theatres and seeing my beloved friends and hugs is live drag. So I take what I can get and damn it Drag Race is it. I love the pageantry, the confessionals (Jujubee IS the confessional darling for this season of drag race). I feel connected, I feel love, everything fades away while I'm watching (less the ads for siesta key. I'M NEVER WATCHING YOU SIESTA KEY STOP TRYING ME). Drag Race transports me to Weho, to my friends beside me, to a place where I am a part of a community and I am whoever and whatever I want to be.
I highly recommend any of the above shows (still hoping for a recast of Eureka on We're Here but that's a whole other post)
Hope you find a little levity here. Until next time queens!
