A day off...NOT!
Yeah, so I absolutly love coming home from a great run and having a message from my boss asking me to come in for overtime. It totally makes my day! Not really! But at least, I was not in the deli much today, but down in the Grill cleaning, stocking, or doing writeoffs, so it was nice. I did also finally get another shirt of my own so my mom does not have to wash every other day now. Only 7 more days!!! : )
Yesterday, the crew came over and we hung out, had dinner, and got ice cream. It was nice to cook with Maria and Christine while listening to Bresa. Good times. Gotta love the sausages "peeing." hehehe. A good time was had by all playing Cranium, but Casey, Ryan and I have to learn that we can't name people or places during the acting ones. Whoops! ; p. "Pigtails + 'Tommorrow. Tommorrow. I love you!' = Pippy Longstockings?" Anyways, we headed out to Maggie Moo's where Casey accussed me of having a secret motive for going there because Sara Gutowski was working and that pissed me off. I am sorry if I want my friends from home to meet my friends from up at school and vice versa because I want them to all be friends. I am sorry if I know people who work at like every ice cream place in Livonia. I am sorry if I have to cram seeing all my friends into one day or maybe two if I am lucky. Casey, I just wanted you guys to meet her since she's like one of my closest friends, but if you are going to throw a fit, I'm never introducing you to any of my friends ever again.
Needless to say, that comment put a damper on me for the rest of the night and the fact that we aren't going to the Tiger's game anymore. ~tear~ I don't know if I want to go to the Renanasanice Festival anymore. I don't know if I can afford it or even simply want to go. I mean, I love the crew and all, but lately, it seems like there is a divison growing in the group and well, I don't like it and it just isn't the same seeing everyone anymore. Maybe I'm just in a funk. I don't know.
Running has been really nice this week. I wasn't able to do a track workout on Tuesday at SHS because the track was messed up because they are redoing the football field. Stupid football players! Why do they need any more new stuff anyways? Ok, enough with that rant. I did bike to Bently today and ran repeat 400's with 200 recovery in between. Times: 1:46, 1:49, 1:57 (bad!), 1:49. Not bad for not doing a speed workout in over 21 months esp considering that I was aiming to do them in 2:00 flat. I am hopping to run 5 miles tomorrow and then on Sat, D.C., Joanna, and I are going out Cass Benton to run but only if we get to swing on the swings afterwards. I promised D.C. we would do that. Then on the 14th, I am going to Hell to do the Run through Hell with Katy B and Steff! I'm excited. It's an 8k I believe...4.8 miles Katy said. It will be a fun day and I can't wait to run with them again. I so miss my cross girls.
I got a reply from the editor in chief at the Lanthorn about writing because I emailed him because I had not heard anything this whole summer and he had told me that I would be writing over the summer. He told me that he had a spot for me in the Laker Life section even though he had previously told me I'd be in the News Section. I don't know if I'm going to point that out to him or just be thankful I have a spot. Need to sleep on that and talk to my mom about it. My mom has been so helpful lately in being my "Sounding board." Gosh...that takes you back to A.P. English and The Return of the Native! hehehe
The next two weeks are going be crazy between working out, packing, cleaning, tanning, and cramming in time to see everyone who wants to see me before I go to school or they leave. The sad thing is that everyone is finally free that last week before I leave for school, so I think most of my packing/cleaning had better be done next week then. I'm excited to see people like Sara (and actually sit down and talk with her), Teter aka Shimmer, Heather, Kulczycki, my "cuz" Sam, Dery, Leslie and Jeremy and maybe Caitlin and Dane if he would ever answer my phone calls. It wil be good to see everyone, but at the same time, really sad because we'll all be heading off to different places after that. ~tear~ Yeah, so if anyone is reading this and wants to see me before I leave again, leave me a message here, call the cell, call the house, or e-mail me so we can set it up because I want to see almost everyone before I leave again for school. You guys mean the world to me and I don't know how to thank you enough for helping me deal with everything this past year, but thank you!
Ok, well it's late and I've resorted to listening to Christmas music in August, so I think it's time for me to head to bed so I can run in the morning. Night.
