*wishes he was travelling to Febmeet*
Although I'm currently sick, so it's maybe for the best. I don't want to be blamed for the Febmeet flu this year. However, I expect to see at least one picture of someone holding a sign saying they miss me. :P
I took yesterday off work, but instead of resting I played GTA:SA all day and watched that
brutal fall the Chinese figure skater took (absolutely amazing that they still won a silver after that). Oh well, at least today is Friday. I might have taken today off too, but on top of the work I need to get done I was supposed to come in early to cover for someone while he is playing once again in the
World Pond Hockey Championships.
Last night I got a call from a friend who I haven't heard from in close to a year, which was quite a shock. He was the guy I lived with when I was working in Ottawa, and was really getting into the heavier drugs when I last saw him. This was quite a shock, as for all I knew he was belly up in a gutter somewhere. Nobody knew where he was, and given the problems he's had with binge drinking and drug use it was quite scary. It was really good to hear from him, and it even sounds like he's off of the drugs. Well, at least the hard drugs. I'm sure he still smokes dope and drinks. I had no plans to go to Ottawa again anytime soon, but I think I'll look into one the next long weekend. :)
EDIT: I remember now what I wanted to mention...
Gillette's new five blade razor. I was tempted to try it out, but the blades cost twice as much as the Mach3 Turbos that I currently use, and I doubt they'll be anymore durable. Twenty dollars for four blades that give me about three or four (if I'm lucky) shaves isn't something I particularly like. I'm already tempted to downgrade to regular Mach3s when my current batch is done, but I think I may go even further go back to Sensor Excel.
Actually, I'm thinking of giving a women's razor a try next. The blades would have to be both sharp and durable to handle leg hair, which is my big problem as the first shave of a blade is awesome, but by the quality plummets VERY quickly. So a question to you ladies out there: what women's razor would you recommend?
To close off, a joke I just heard today:
Four people are on a train: an elderly woman, a young woman, a young Canadian man and a young American man. All strangers. During the train ride they pass through a tunnel, and a loud *smack* is heard in the cabin. When they come out of the tunnel and everyone can see again they see the American man looking quite surprised with a big red handmark on his face.
The elderly woman thinks to herself: "The American must have fondled the young woman and she slapped him."
The young woman thinks to herself: "The American must have tried to fondle me but fondled the elderly woman by mistake and got slapped."
The American man thinks to himself: "The Canadian must have fondled the young woman and she slapped me by accident."
The Canadian man thinks to himself: "Man, I can't wait until the next tunnel so I can smack that American again!"
