Too Many Rallies

After completing a 7 hour drive home for DC (Thank you GWB traffic), we had completed a marathon of scooter rallies. The included Dogwood Delirium, Gotham & DC.

Dogwood was a very laid back camping rally that was really enjoyable. A local brewery provided all the beer for the weekend, we drank plenty of it. While not the most organized it provided enough entertainment, but was fairly soggy. Patches were not ready, and have still not arrived in the mail. I don't really care, just think its funny.

Gotham was more enjoyable this year for me, I think for the most part because there were plenty of non-sanctioned events going on. They were far more enjoyable then the locations the itinerary had us at. I got to see more Demons in one place then I have in a long time. And they made Sharon a member too. I made a point to never try and get her into the club, so it was nice that someone else made the suggestion. The anti-patch that myself and John Melville made up have turned out to be a hit. I only wish I had made more, to either give away or sell. There were enough for the Demons and few of my friends. Much smaller turnout then most were expecting, but that had mostly to do with the rain.

DC this weekend, was one of my favorite city rallies in a while. Stayed with my good friend Brad Wynn with a bunch of other rally regulars. The Pietasters played, which was fun. I guess I didn't realize the frat kid following they had. The ride was great. The Karaoke was great, and was my first time on stage. My regret was missing the naked tomato sauce wrestling. Somehow that didn't make the itineray.

Overall, it was a pretty good run. We have this weekend off and then its a ride up to Niagara for one of my 2 favorites of the year.
