So friday morning right before my morning meeting at work, I turned as I heard the sound of falling water begin to echo thru the room.
Turns out that a conduit that had been abandoned and capped had filled with water. The pressure build up from the terechal rain of that morning finally pushed the cap beyond its limits. It gave way and poured the entire volume of a 3" conduit with the length of 400+ feet, and whatever puddle had built up on the other end.
The office was 3" underwater within 1/2 hour. We were in a mad dash to save files and computers and desks.
This falls under one of those situations that sucks, but is going to make a great story down the line.
