Yet another info request

I really don't mean to use my friends as Wikipedia, but this did come up: for those military types who use the NATO phonetic alphabet on a regular basis, how do you designate a difference in case? I've been adding "cap" in front of the letter, so "charlie" is "c", "cap charlie" is "C" - but that's purely my own invention and I'm likely alone in that. (Of course, everytime I see the phonetic alphabet or prowords or such used, it's in ALL CAPS, probably a throwback to teletype or somesuch.)
