There's a bit right at the end of the movie Stand and Deliver where Edward James Olmos is listening to the test scores of his students being read off, all of whom passed. He sits impassively until he realizes that fact, then gets up and walks away, down the dimly-lit hall...and right at the end, punches his fist in the air. It's a great screen moment.
Last night, right as the time changed, I called the NOC and got the new guy (a stepson of one of the partners, which is, apparently, why he got the job). I asked about the systems, and he actually sounded a bit confused as to why I was calling. Everything read the correct time. It was a high visibility project, and it went exactly to plan.
I just went to bed afterwards; I was really tired. But yeah, later, there was a sort of mental fist-pump that I allowed myself.
