Sleepwalking
Second day in a row I'm half-asleep at work. Most of it is a work issue which is proving to be impossible to pin down...I have no idea why the VPN is doing what they say it is doing, and getting them to give me consistent, usable information is a profoundly irritating and frustrating experience (yesterday I got one client whom I could not make grok the concept of a "data rate"; another called me and literally said, "So, I heard you had to look at the megabytes or somethin'?") I was waking up last night at various times, thinking that the phone was about to ring, as it did the night before (Monday morning's phone log: 0100, 0130, 0200, 0600, 0700, 0730, and one right after the other at 0900). Today they're reporting it as all fixed, and I didn't do a damned thing to do so, which doesn't make me feel better in the slightest.
This does not bode well for Geek Combat tonight, but hell, if the Mutie can land second all by his lonesome, I should be able to mail in a first place finish...
