Spidey 3

Well... it's not Spider-Man 2.

I don't know if they thought this is going to be the last Spider-Man movie or what, but it seemed that they tried to cram every storyline they could think of into this movie. Obviously, everyone was expecting Harry to become the new Green Goblin (which turned out neither green, nor goblin-like) thanks to the end of Spider-Man 2. On top of this, however, they added Sandman and the alien symbiote/Venom in addition to the Mary Jane and Peter relationship issues. So the movie suffers from a lack of focus.

When the symbiote binds to the Spidey suit, he becomes more emo-Spider-Man than anything else, and he completes the look when his bangs fall over his forehead and right eye.

In all, it's still a decent movie, and the action sequences are still great. I would have liked the movie to contain at least one more confrontation between the new Goblin and Spidey, especially if it were black-suited Spidey and Goblin out in the city. Venom looks awesome, but the whole symbiote/Venom storyline seems a bit rushed. If this movie had stuck to one or even two villains, it probably would have been great like Spider-Man 2. Instead, three villains plus everything else keeps it from being top-notch.
