Living in California gets you inundated with a huge number of propositions on your ballot during election time. We have two this year that were really slimy, prop 64, which guts environmental laws in the guise of protecting small businesses, and prop 68, which sought to take 1/4 of all Indian casino profits as taxes but was really about allowing racetracks and card clubs to expand and put in casino games as well.
Ya know, I don't mind when someone's honest about the initiatives, and wouldn't be pissed off at all if the guys behind either had told the whole story behind their propositions, it's when they try to hide that I think we should just put them up against the wall. Maybe when the revolution finally comes. ;)
At least we're still getting to vote. For now.
