car talk

When I was 19, I received my first credit card. I didn't know at the time, but apparently having a credit card with a $2000 spending limit is pretty damn good. Unfortunately, when I first started to use the card, I did not foresee the problems that having credit would bring.

I'm trying to buy a car, which apparently is very hard to do with my kind of credit. I've applied for bad credit auto loans, only to be hounded by shady car dealers.

Because of my shitty credit, I've come to the conclusion that one of the following will have to happen:

Scenario 1
Go to aforementioned shady dealers and see what I can do.

Scenario 2
Buy a cheap used car. While I'm driving that, build my credit and hope to finance a nice car (or alternatively, a nicer car (if I can afford it which I probably won't be able to)).

Scenario 3
Buy a cheap used car. Then save, my boy; save, and pay cash for the car so I don't have to worry about having a terrible finance rate.

Honestly, scenario 3 is the one I would like to go with; it saves me the most money in the long run, but damn it will be a long run, so that's where scenario 2 comes in.
