Chewie
For those of you that haven't heard, on Tuesday night we sadly had to put Chewie to sleep. It was her time, there was nothing else they could do at this point, and she went in about 3 seconds. I had tests run to be sure there were no other options. She was severely anemic, her red blood cell count was at 10%, so her organs were all either shutting down or about to. Her kidneys had already stopped functioning completely. Had the other vet not suggested taking her off fluids back in September, I don't believe the disease would have progressed as quickly as it did. I guess I can't dwell on that, though.
