(no subject)
yesterday on my way to work i noticed a really cute kitty (who looked like baby) walking along a sidewalk. i was on a busy road approaching another busy road, so i didn't want to just pull the car over and try to call him over for fear that i would scare him into the traffic. plus there were a bunch of houses (well fenced in backyards) in the area, so he could have belonged to someone. but i never know what to do in those situations. i would never have an outdoor cat with no collar or tags, and i could not see any on him from the car. it is irresponsible of the owner to let a cat out without that. so he could have been a stray, but i still wasn't sure. i have been on the lookout for him and if i spot him again i might have to try and lure him over to me. but how do you know if the cat belongs to someone or not? i would hate to take a happy outdoor kitty thinking he belonged to no one, and then traumatize him and his family. anyway, i have been thinking of this a lot now because he looked like baby, and i miss baby!
