Bear with me, the details have faded, but I'll do my best.
Last night I dreamed that Ray and I were walking down a neighborhood street and came upon this beautiful house. It had a for sale sign in the front and we loved the house so we decided to take a look. It was night time, and nobody was home, so we walked up and peeked in the windows. I remember that the house had vast hardwood floors and was completely modern and fresh. The house outside was perfect. Perfect grass, landscaping, white siding with red brick. Super curb appeal. We couldn't believe we had stumbled onto our dream house. Peeking in the windows wasn't enough for us, so we opened a window and went in.
We loved the house so much that we laid down on the floor... and eventually fell asleep. We were awaken to the owners coming home and finding us in their house. They were very upset with us (for good reason!) at first and we explained that we were interested in buying the house and just fell asleep.
Still annoyed they threatened to call the police and were not interested in selling to us. In conversation they revealed that Johnny Cash used to live there. We decided not to take no for an answer after hearing that, so we offered them an obscene amount of cash, and they accepted it so we bought the place.
After we left and we moved in, we started getting screaming phone calls from a woman demanding to know what we did to Johnny and why we stole his house. Over and over we told her that we bought the house. She was really angry at us for taking what belonged to the family, if Johnny didn't want it anymore.
Eventually, she showed up at the door with many relatives of Johnny Cash, and demanded that we surrender the house and tell them where Johnny was. We told them, that "uhh...Johnny Cash has been dead for a couple years, and we never met him."
They were devastated and did not know he had already passed away.
I don't remember anything else, except the whole dream took place at night with lots of gloomy light coming in the windows, like in the movies.
