Hey everyone! There's a new episodes of "Mystery Inc" tonight, I know I haven't seen this one from the leaks and it sounds good so I look forward to what happens!

Random thoughts on this episode:

-I had hoped that our first flashback to the original Mystery Inc would be a lot more...enlightening than this was. We saw very little of them in action and didn't get any clue as to what their personalities were like or how they worked together.
Also, I just can't believe that Scott Menville (aka Red Herring) grew up to sound like Lewis Black! Sorry. But suspension of disbelief only goes so far. XD

-The gang waited until NOW to unpack that chest and look for clues!?!? WHY!? Did all their romantic angst cause them to forget it was in the van up until now? WTF!?

-Oy. Methinks a couple of the directors and/or storyboard artists on this show have a MAJOR butt fetish. Seriously, you could make a really intense drinking game just by pointing out all the female ass-shots that happen in this episode alone! O_o
....Oh well. I suppose we should just thank our lucky stars that Daphne didn't run around in her underpants again. -_-

-Maybe we'll find out in the next episode. But I can't help wondering why the hell Angel/Cassidy is doing any of this. She's no longer in love with Ricky/Mr E (so she has no reason to follow his orders), she's made it clear that she doesn't want to be in Crystal Cove, and she personally doesn't even care who gets the disc piece just as long as the current Mystery Inc gets rid of it. So why didn't she just tell the kids the truth up front in episode one if the only thing she cared about was keeping them safe? It's not like she's learned a shocking new detail about this case that would cause her to turn on Ricky all of a sudden.
I'm guessing that Ricky has something on her (a secret she doesn't want let out? Perhaps another book filled with embarrassingly terrible love poems about him?). But I don't know if the last episode will have room to properly explain why Angel returned and cooperated with Ricky to begin with.

-So, let me get this straight. Cassidy and the original Mystery Inc left behind their lives, families, and identities because...a dude in a spooky suit threatened them?
...Uh, if the old gang was anything like the current gang, wouldn't something like that be a regular occurrence? Scooby and Co get threatened with murder in practically every episode of this show (and both Velma and Fred have seen their family members get attacked) and it barely phases them! Why would Cassidy and her friends be any different?
I expected the original Mystery Inc to have a damn good reason for vanishing off the face of the earth and this explanation was majorly disappointing. Were those kids such crappy detectives that, even after 20 years, they couldn't wrap up this mystery without enlisting the aid of a bunch of crazy, hormonal teenagers!?
