After the little chat with Buffy and the wonderful Mr. Finn we started back down the stairs. We started downstairs to join the others. We were to show Cordy and Connor who was trying to kill them earlier. Since neither one of them knew him from a few years ago, I'm sure they wouldn't warm up to him too much. Connor might even try to go after

"Riley what the hell? Can you explain this?"
That's exactly what I was wondering. Riley then went over and threw back a rug that revealed a trap door. Well, isn't that just wonderful. Trap doors and booby-traps are exactly what we need right now.
"Well The first night I got here I set a bunch of traps so I could have have a good nights sleep."
"Well, do you think that there are any other surprises that we need to know about so we don't, you know.. die." I sure did hope that when one up them got back up here that they would try to beat on him or something. I'd do it myself, but Buffy might have something to say about that. I glanced over at Buffy who looked pretty mad herself. Okay, well maybe not. She might do the beating herself. I looked down inside the door and saw Cordy, Connor, Illyria, and Spike all just sitting among some ropes. Huh?
"Spike? Okay, Everyone stay where your at don't move or you'll have a couple hundred arrows coming at you."
I started to look back at Buffy, but took a double take towards Riley. What? Arrows? My gaze at Riley turned from anger to something even more. I wouldn't call it hatred, but it was pretty close I'd say. Then there was that grin again. I felt my anger rising even faster as I clinched my fists so hard that my knuckles turned white, and my teeth were firmly clinched together.
"Well, is there something you could do to get them out of there? Like now?" I said, gritting the words through my teeth.

Commando boy was right at the entrance...along with Angel and Buffy. I expected to see alot of weapons pointed at his throat maybe even a couple of drops of blood, but nothing. I slowly cross my arms and carefully walk to him dodging the ropes.
"Spike? Okay, Everyone stay where your at don't move or you'll have a couple hundred arrows coming at you."
A couple hundred arrows, was he expecting a party. Back in the day I'd freak out over something like this, now I just get pissed. When I get pissed I'd get physical but in this case I can't. I tried to look at Angel but couldn't manage to see that much of him.
"Listen Buddy, if you don't get us out of here right now. You better hope these arrows go off. You think Angel's scary, wait until I get ahold of you!"

Let's just say that my smile quickly faded. I looked at Angel, who still seemed worried about them. The Riley comment about arrows any minute wasn't the best thing for a vampire with a soul to hear.. Especially if his best friend, ex lover..and his 'son' was down there. I figured I had better speak up, before we had a problem up here, and that would make me rather be down there.
"Riley, get them out. Now. Spike is good..still"
I think he knew what I meant by that. Hostile seventeen is good. Actually has a soul now. I didn't mention anything about it though. Figured I'd mention it later when we didn't have a furious Angel standing beside me.
I know he was holding back for me, and it was good that he did. Vampires were usually cold, but Angel.. I think I could feel the fire coming out of his ears.
Riley looked at me, giving me the 'sorry tone.' Yeah, he can be sorry when he gets everyone out..everyone. Not most and a pile of dust. I gave him the look that meant NOW. I meant it. I wasn't going to go to the extreme of the whole I'll kill you scheme..
He was still skeptical.. I yelled. I guess coming back to the hellmouth does that impatience thing to you. Oh, and we can't forget about the really really bad day I was having. Bad things were just lining up to get to me. And they were.. oh-trust me, they were..
"Riley! Now!"
Not that hard of a concept...my head hurt. I wonder why.

My knees were getting from the position I was in. I looked around the room and there were several ropes. I wondered how many arrows would go off if I just moved. I hadn't put much thought into it and I moved myself as fast as I could
Three arrows came shooting out I dodged the first by ducking then catch the other two. The first one was next to my chest, the other one I stopped right near my forehead, and the one I dodged seemed to hit Spike in the shoulder blade.
"Sorry, these ropes are alittle tricky."
I could sense the anger coming from him. We all needed to get out of here before we kill each other literally.
"How much longer?"

In fact those arrows weren't sounding too bad right now. I glance over to see Illyria looking at me. She was trying to make something out of this. What exactly who knew. Not that I cared anyways.

"Buffy, It's almost done, I just have a few more switches left. I'll need your help for the main one thought."
A couple of minutes later We were onto the last switch. After several attempts on my part to lift it up, Buffy just needed the one time. I nod my head in embarrassment. It's been awhile for moments like these.
"Okay the area is secure, they can get out now."

Angel still seemed a little perturbed about the whole deal. I couldn't say I blamed him. He didn't like Riley in the first place, and the fact that his son was in a trap that probably shouldn't have been there in the first place fueled it.
Then there was Cordelia. She looked more than a little annoyed. Angel wouldn't have wanted her down there either because..well they were.. close. I let Angel pull her out, because I didn't quite want to deal with her. While I knew that she might have changed a little bit, I still didn't know, and hearing her degrade me was a greater of two evils.
Spike being the lesser one for the time being. I reached for his hand, and touching it just made me feel weak inside. I still cared for him, and the fact that I hurt him brought more guilt to my already guilty mind.
Needless to say, I just wanted to go home and sleep in the crater, and let it fill me up with..dirt.
After we had gotten everyone out from the trap, I looked at Riley and motioned toward the phone.
"So am I going to fall in a trap if I head over there, or what? Because I really need to make a call to Giles about this whole thing."

I watched as Buffy helped Spike out of the hole and shot a glance at Spike. No, I wasn't jealous.. well, maybe a little. Shaking the feeling aside, I turned to Riley, a pissed off look on my face - not that he really cared about that either.
"So am I going to fall in a trap if I head over there, or what? Because I really need to make a call to Giles about this whole thing."
Raising my eyebrows, I looked from Buffy to Riley. There had better not be any other surprises that we had to worry about. If there were he'd better get to work deactivating them all. I turned to Cordy and Connor. "Are you both alright?"

"Are you both alright?"
At first I almost snapped on Angel. I took a couple deep breaths in and out before I could speak.
"I'm fine." I then point at Riley, "Can I hurt him?"
It took every ounce of my strength not too. I roll my eye's and focus my attention on Connor. The arrow hadn't completely went into his arm. It was just barely in there. I rip off my other sleeve, grabbed the arrow and jerk it out.
"Sorry, I just want to get you all patched up now just in case he has any more surprises."

"Are you alright."
I nod keeping my mouth shut. As if the arrow in my arm wasn't proof enough that I wasn't twenty/twenty. Cordy began to show her anger, I enjoyed her ranting very much. I started to calm down as I heard her voice. Then she turns to me and takes out my arrow. This time I really felt it.
""Sorry, I just want to get you all patched up now just in case he has any more surprises."
I looked over at Riley and smirk at him. If no one was going to do anything now, I will eventually see him alone.
"Yeah, You never know what else he's got hidden in this house."

Now If I were only dealing with Buffy then this might not be as hard. As everyone started to make there way up from the basement. I could sense nothing more than evil death looks. I try and smile to comfort them but that only made it worse. I look back over at Buffy, she seemed very annoyed with me. This didn't make me feel all that great. I never enjoyed getting those looks from her.
"It should be fine. This is the only trap I set. Well there is one more in the bathroom."
She didn't say she just left. I noticed not everyone had got out of the basement. I looked down there and noticed the blue woman hadn't left. I reached out my arm and pulled her out with alittle force. I attempted to make some fun small talk to ease up the room.
"You doing alright soldier?"
