"Something that maybe a God is out to get us again? That should be fun considering our luck and all. If you don't remember, Slayer and God don't usually mesh. You know, Giles being here would really help this situation...but as luck would have it, he can't get out of England. He can't send more slayers, and for some reason, I doubt it's coincidental."
I hated research, it was always depressing, because the answers that usually came out of the damn book, if there was a damn book weren't the answers we were looking for and usually turns out to be just something more that we have to deal with. Didn't want to come off being pessimistic, but things that get thrown in our face, though we should be used to it by now...it even tends to get old.
"So working off the word of a few vampires is better than nothing I guess, and information was what we were after. I knew I wasn't going to like this outcome..and if there are any books on this Lyriso, I'm doubting that I'll like what we have to to defeat him. Her. It. Whatever."
Then I thought about what he had said. Dammit, I knew I shouldn't have let my sister come, she was in danger. Of course..what's new, but still, I hated knowing that she was out here, when there was a God on the loose.
"Let's hope they're back...because search and rescue really isn't my thing."

I sighed and halfway knew she was right. None of this was a coindicence. In my long life, I'd learned that hardly anything was ever a coincidence.
"It had to be a god, huh? I haven't really had much to do with them - but it never works out good. And I have a feeling you don't really like them either. Did Giles say how long it would be before he could get here?"
Mentioning Giles made me think of Wesley. He had been our brains.. although much more than that. You'd think that if a town that was a crater just weeks earlier could be brought back then you could do the same with a person. Well, it had happened before. We were both living-.. we were both proof of that.

I nodded and we continued walking. Now out of the graveyard, we headed back towards the house. Maybe this time it would be different.. right. Like this time things would be somehow different. Like that'd ever happen.
"It's better than we had to work with before.. which was pretty much nothing. Hopefully the books we do have will show something on..it."
I think I was the most comfortable with calling the god an 'it' for now. It made me want to kill the thing even more.
"Let's hope they're back...because search and rescue really isn't my thing."
"Right. I'm sure they're fine if not back already." We had been gone for a long time since we made a detour to the graveyard. Good thing because that's where we actually got information.
"I'm sure no matter what happens.. it'll all work out. I mean, look at what we've faced in the past. We've both died, we've fought an apocalypse here and there over the years, a few demons.. what's so scary about a town and a god who thinks it's big enough to take on this town?"
I smiled a bit as we walked, glancing over at her.
We kept walking and we finally made it to the house again. From the outside I couldn't tell if anyone was here yet, but for the sake of having to go out and look for anyone, I hoped they were all back.
