It took me a long time to come around and realize why we have failed, but the facts were always in front of my eyes and unfolding. I would probably be more lenient(about the BS reasons) had Bush fought his illegal wars with a little more gusto... but umm, he could force his illegal wars on Nato and not wage them right, it falls a little short of what a war monger should be and on that note he is just a lying failure and not a war winning liar. This is something the U.S. cherishes in their president's(FDR, That guy who started the war with Mexico, and all of the men who bombed targets all over the world[that's easier than occupation but they are winners]).
And then we are back in the 2002 mindset, where it's time to whip up some more wars. Iran always had more capabilities than Iraq did... they are still in the reticle, as they have been. Especially by Israel, who appears to be gearing up for the next 1967. North Korea is the most dangerous and unstable enemy just as it was then...
There are so many thing wrongs with U.S. foreign policy. I've concluded some major ones:
1. Prolonged Decay, 2. Ignoring threats to extend the length of this decay, 3. Distraction from what most people give a shit about, 4. and digging trenches, rather planting land mines, to protect itself.
OR
The hegemony, our stalemate, our distraction, our arrogance
1. The inclusion of NATO and Europe as "safe", followed by a turned eye from Russia to the Middle East. Perpetual warfare to feed the hegemony, we should have toned it down in 1991.
2. A stalemate in the Korean theater, as we convince Japan and S. Korea to wait we are condemning more of their population to death by chemical and nuclear warfare from the North(I wonder if the North's bombs do as much damage as ours did to them).
3. Back to the ME, we have sidelined the major ARAB players in favor of Israel which is divisive and war mongering(well, they are a NATURAL ally in that case aren't they).
4. Most importantly, we still think we're the shit everywhere we go. Everything that happens, we have to act like we're the world leader, when they don't even give a fuck because we're hypocritical. And I don't think that the federal government knows what they're doing, because the storm they're calling for is obvious.
