24 Hr Mark

So in my first 24 hrs at TALH I have pretty much fallen in love with it. The people are crazy awesome and nothing is too confusing or ridiculous. I officially have a Lamar University ID which surprisingly doesn't look too bad, and have started going to the dining hall. As expected, the food is pretty decent, and Mom, you will be proud to know I ate an apple just for you. I was going to have fruit salad even but, alas, it had pretty much been reduced to watermelon and we all know my adversion to that. My new favorite game is On the Spot, it's a pleasant little diddy where someone gets called up front and center to answer questions ranging from "Is leadership good?" to "'Teach Tolerance' Could this ad campaign have a negative aspect?" Geeky but fun.

The only not so good part I have experienced has been the whole book buying process. You know in movies, how they have those scenes where someone walks into a library or bookstore? They always ask for help and follow the person around, taking books as they pull them off the shelf. Inevitably they stack up until the poor character can't see over the top of them or take anotehr step. Today I learned it's like that except they cost a ton and it's not nearly as funny when it's you. Okay so I don't have that many books but it felt like it walking up to my lovely 3rd floor.

anyway it's time for Snakes on a Plane
