I've been thinking and I'm really over COVID. Not that being over it, will change my life much, but I'm really not willing to waste anymore time or energy thinking about it anymore.

The shift has really come because I've been in person schooling now for a month. The first week back we had a confirmed case in the school. It was in the kitchen staff and all three kitchen ladies came down with it. Two actually got it and one had it, but no symptoms. All three recovered and were back to work in two weeks. One gave it to her husband, who is high risk because of age and pre-existing conditions. He has also recovered. We did cancel school for two days, but the community came forward and made it clear that they wanted their kids in school. I do too! Distance learning is just not a good thing!

A couple of weeks into school, we had wildfires blow into town quickly! We had to call families to cancel school. Of the seven families I had to call, four were in some state of evacuation. That reality check was another tick in the box of what can happen so quickly to change things. It also made COVID look small in comparison.

Combine that with loosing Beep and my dad within a week of each other, it has really hit home that you have to live life to the fullest now. Waiting to do things just doesn't seem like a great idea. So, like I said, not really going to change how I live my life, but I'm not going to waste time worrying about COVID. Time to live life!

In other news, my family and I are in the process of buying 80 acres just two minutes from work! I'm so excited! 50 acres of it is irrigated farm land, the rest is a mix of pasture and rocky soil. I'm excited to have sheep closer to home and it looks like I'll be building a house out there. There will be a lot of clean up, but it'll be fun to have my mom, Meagan and family and me all on one property.
Possible new house?
COVID, hit the road! Time to start living again!
