A quick enough marker guide [sorry, no images right now]

Now, I'm an avid marker user and collector; Chartpak AD, Neopiko, Promarker, Copic, TRIA, Touch!, Chafford, Prismacolor- I've tried most of 'em and have developed quite an opinionated stance on them and the brand-loyalty attached to them, so please allow me to let off some steam by giving a simple review of each brand I've tried.

Or 'How I learned to stop listening to morons and started loving the Pantone bomb'. )

I'm happy I could have helped in some way! I'm sort of glad that I'm not the only person who was disappointed after using Copics for the first time, particularly in comparison to Promarkers.

Thank you! I've been wondering about the difference between Ciao and Sketch for a while now. Cheers for clearing that up for me!

As for Trias, I know right? Promarkers recently got a colourchart upgrade which matches with Letraset's new colour system, but yeah- Tria have tonnes more colours to choose from. The expense, as you've mentioned, is very high though. It's pushing 70 euro for a 12 set which is seriously frightening. All I'll say with the Tria is to be careful of their caps! After using them make sure you get a 'click' sound when you put their caps back on to ensure that they're air-tight. A dry Tria is a very sad thing. If they arrive dry you can return them to Letraset for a new set I believe! [There was a scandal right when Tria were given a redesign that meant due to a design flaw their ink didn't flow properly, but that's since been fixed so you shouldn't have any problem.]

Enjoy your markers, and consequently your crying wallet! :p
