Playstation 3
It was only a matter of time before I eventually bought one. The time has come!
I now officially own all three current consoles on the market. Funny enough I also own both current hand helds as well. I'd rather not think about how much money I have spent so far haha.
So about two days ago, Char (amo_honu ) sent me a link to a promotion that Amazon brought back. They were having a deal on Blu-ray players where you had to purchase 4 movies from their list along with a player and you would get $100 off instantly. This also includes the Playstation 3.
Recently I shot a wedding for Char's sister and she was kind enough to give me a little thank you gift card for Amazon (luckily enough!). So along with that and the promo, I decided to go for it and finally get myself a PS3.
In the end the cost came out to about 326 dollars with 4 movies included in that price. Definitely not bad for a PS3 and Blu-ray movies!
What's next? I definitely need to purchase Little Big Planet. My friend was accidentally given an extra code to unlock a special costume and he said he would give it to me if I bought the game. I know this is going to make Emil (robotrigger ) since he recently made a post on Facebook about it haha.
Sad news: My Xbox 360 just went through it's second RRoD which means I have to send it back to Microsoft to get fixed. At this point I am so busy that I am not in a hurry to get it back so it should be fine. I also get 1 month free of Xbox Live which is nice. Oh and the new Xbox 360 update comes out next month which is going to be awesome.
Netflix is going to become my new best friend. They have just recently announced two new things. The Xbox 360 will be able to stream movies in HD from the service AND soon Macs will also be able to stream video (finally!). Those two things along with being able to rent out Blu-ray movies just means that this service will definitely kick some major butt! I'm glad I left Blockbuster online after they kept getting greedy.
Anyone else use Netflix? I want to get some buddies added to my list once I have an account setup.
